Josh Smith is a Dunghutti man who lives in Naarm (Melbourne) on Wurundjeri country. He has been a lawyer and public servant for much of his career and advocates for the rights of Indigenous peoples. He has spoken at the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous issues on the right to free, prior and informed consent, and has been instrumental in establishing Victoria’s first treaty process with Indigenous peoples.
