Michelle Aung Thin is a novelist, essayist and academic born in Burma (now Myanmar). Her first novel, The Monsoon Bride, was published by Text in 2011 and in 2014, she was the recipient of the first Asialink resident to Myanmar. Michelle is the 2017 National Library of Australia Creative Arts Fellowship for Australian Writing (supported by the Eva Kollsman and Ray Mathew Trust).
