Lindsay seeks expressions of interest to join its Advisory Board

Founded and edited by Beth Wilkinson in Melbourne, Australia, Lindsay is a print and online magazine that celebrates the importance of different cultures and places around the world. It launched online in 2017, and in March 2018 it launched its debut print issue with Australian fashion icon Jenny Kee on the cover.

Less than one year later, it is stocked in more than twenty countries in over one hundred stores, including Gucci Garden (Florence), Ofr (Paris), MoMA PS1 (New York), MOCA (Los Angeles), Walker Arts Center (Minneapolis), Magculture (London), Daikanyama T-site (Tokyo), MCA (Sydney) and NGV (Melbourne). The magazine has published high profile interviews with Italian director Luca Guadagnino, Oscar-winning composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, Berlin-based musician Nils Frahm, Lebanese director Nadine Labaki, American author Jenny Zhang and NASA astronaut Stephanie Wilson. It won a Distinction for publication design at the 2018 AGDA Design Awards and it has been featured on Monocle 24, Freunde von Freunden, ABC Radio National, and It’s Nice That, who wrote how it was “causing a whirr on the independent magazine circuit”. Its founder Beth has written for The Saturday Paper, recorded a podcast with Stack and spoken at numerous events including the NGV Art Book Fair and Creative Mornings.

As a young but thriving start-up, Lindsay is now seeking a small group of individuals with specialised experience in different areas to join its volunteer Advisory Board. Areas of interest include legal, finance, advertising or marketing, philanthropy or partnerships, business, and media. This is an opportunity for passionate and skilled individuals to play an important role in the development of this ambitious independent magazine that has captured the attention of media, retailers and readers worldwide. The time commitment would include quarterly meetings, plus occasional one-on-one consulting.

To express your interest, please email Beth Wilkinson with a short paragraph about why you’d like to be involve with a current CV attached.
